How to get it

  1. Park at the Makapuʻu Point trailhead lot off Kalanianaʻole Highway.
  2. Walk the paved road up to the lookout.
The catchUphill with no shade, water or restrooms. The lighthouse itself is closed to the public. Open 7 am to about 7:45 pm in summer, 6:45 pm in winter.
