Three original homes of river ferry operator John Walter, dating from 1870 to the early 1900s, sit in the North Saskatchewan river valley by the Kinsmen Sports Centre. General admission is free, with free drop-in tours on Sunday afternoons in season.

How to get it

  1. Go to 9180 Walterdale Hill NW, on the north side of the Kinsmen Sports Centre parking lot.
  2. Drop-in tours run Sundays 1 to 4 pm from spring to September; off-season visits are for pre-booked events and programs.
The catchSunday drop-ins are paused until spring 2027. Private tours cost extra.
