A Snake River canyon park where you can walk among Bonneville Flood boulders carved with petroglyphs 100 to 10,000 years old, try throwing an atlatl dart and cross the historic Guffey Railroad Bridge. The BLM lists no fees.

How to get it

  1. Drive south of Melba to the park on the Snake River.
  2. Walk the petroglyph area, then the trail across the Guffey Bridge or upriver to Halverson Lake.
The catchHot in summer with little shade; bring water. Do not touch or climb on the petroglyphs.
